Joy and Angels sick/Health policy

We have set the following guidelines in an effort to prevent illness. Please take a moment to review our sick policy.

1.         Daily health observations will be done on a daily basis when your child arrives.
2.         Bringing a child with any symptoms to the center may cause other children to get sick. If  all parents keep sick children
home, everyone’s children will be sick less often.
3.         A complete change of clothes needs to be available at all times for your child. Please put them in a bag with their names written on each item.
4.         All children are required to furnish a sheet and blanket for nap time. These items are to be taken home at the end of their
week to be laundered and brought back the next week.
5.         No medication can be administered to your child in the nursery unless accompanied by written permission from the parent/guardian.
6.         Current work, home and emergency numbers must be available to the nursery staff at all times. Please inform us of any
            changes.
7.         In case of accidental injury, we will contact the parent. If we are unable to reach you, we will contact your child’s pediatrician.
8.         We will go outside everyday if the weather permits. Please dress your child accordingly.
9.         If your child develops any of the following symptoms or illnesses you will be called to take your child home.

Diarrhea            Measles           Mumps            Rubella            Pertussis            Ringworm

Head Lice            Chicken Pox            Toothache       Ear Ache            Impetigo          Pinkeye

            Strep Throat  Fever

10.       Please keep you child home until the symptoms have disappear for 24 hours.

*          A 30 day trial period will be given to all children, after which we  reserve the right to dismiss a child if we are unable to meet the child’s need or if the child  is endangering or threatening to the other children.
